#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Up early, placid lake, Frank up, last morning, Po and I walk. As soon as we’re at the top of the driveway, a very friendly but cautious deer greets us. Morning in New Hampshire, afternoon in my garden at home with the butterfies and the sunshine and the produce. Picked the eggplant! Made eggplant parmesan for dinner, including fresh green beans from the garden and tomatoes, of course. Before leaving Winnipesaukee, after a nice walk and talk with Po, I swam a mile in the calm, cold! water. Such delicious swims while I was there. I am welcomed home by a small face that greets me with a big smile, and we go outside to play. Tonight, at dusk, I take him in the carriage under the sky that has no stars yet, and no moon. We listen for owls and we hear only crickets. It’s very peaceful; slightly cool, and we’re very happy to be still in a summer evening. Soon enough, he sleeps.
