#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Lovely cool air through the windows; cool, sunny morning, and I take Charlie for a shortened walk so that I can take a bike ride. It’s a lovely day for a ride. I’m considering registering for the local sprint triathlon in late September, so I must get my legs ready. No swim today, though, as the day got away from me and I wanted to make a nice dinner for Frank who had a meeting this evening and I was squeezed for time. I baked two quiches and he was very happy but rushed through his meal. The pumpkins in the garden are fattening nicely and the tomatoes are delicious and bountiful. I worked a bit on my new poem today. Tonight, had a wonderful evening hosting the Journal of Expressive Writing Open Mic. We had a great audience showing and the readers were quite powerful. Fall is in the air. Red leaves are scattered on the trail. Tonight I thought I might have to put socks on my feet for the first time in months. Summer’s end approaches. I will soon be glad and accept the season changing with enthusiasm. As I always do. Because there will be so much new beauty to appreciate.
