The electricity is out tonight. What a thunder storm and a drenching. Garden will be happy even if Charlie is not. I woke up tired. But dressed in my long sleeved shirt and pants to do the weeding and cutting and clearing up that I am so behind on. It was so humid. Didn’t realize the heat index was so high! Kept showering in the outdoor shower in my clothes to cool off. Worked for two hours, but felt dizzy and nauseous and knew I had to stop. Went in, and Frank was home from tennis and feeling the same thing! We cooled off quickly and went out to lunch and shopping for a portable gas grill for beach cookouts and plants. I cleared a space by the outdoor shower for aromatic flowers and herbs to grow crazy. Bought bee balm and all kinds of other herbs. Then came home and he worked on the grass, mowing, and I went back at the cutting and weeding and cleared up a bunch of gardens. Mosquitos really bad. Still quite hot. Picked tomatoes. Did not water garden as I counted on this rain. Such a sweet day with just me and Frank. I made us spinach and feta omelette for dinner. Just relaxing and having fun doing projects. And now, lights out!
