#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
It is not yet 9 p.m. and I can’t keep my eyes open! Day started early; up at 6:00 a.m. after not sleeping well. A nightmare! Such a rare thing. It kept me awake for a bit. But I enjoyed going out early. Made coffee first in my room with my portable coffee maker and favorite coffee beans. It was raining and I had no jacket, but decided I’d warm up and be fine. Shoes quit wet, and splashed once by a car going through a massive puddle. I laughed. I walked up the street to the farm/garden run by the Morris Arboretum where I walked yesterday. Walked all through the community garden, then up the hill to the Farm and horticultural center and loved taking pictures and seeing this historical and very contemporary place. Old barns and buildings, and also new construction with roof gardens! And bee boxes for honey down a side trail. I had prep to do when I returned, and an interview of video at 9:00 a.m. with Angela Grout, a writer producing videos and a podcast. In the late afternoon i taught my Play Lab and it was great to meet new writers and it went well. We have a lot of work to do in three days! Then the class and I had dinner in the cafeteria. At home, Frank took my son and daughter out to dinner, and my youngest hosted a mushroom hunt in the yard and woods for Wave and his friends that I heard was hugely successful. Gosh, I missed some fun stuff! Still, I cannot be in two great places at once, and I am very happy to be here in this lovely area finding interesting and beautiful places and people. I will wish myself sweeter dreams.
