Another stunning summer day. Awake fairly early. We have breakfast together on Rue Cler and walk to our bike tour––it was a four hour tour of the city on bikes in a small group; all the touristy destinations, but fun to be out in the sunshine having some exercise, being guided through traffic. A concert tonight, free, in the Latin Quarter, a quartet performing the music of Ukrainian composer Valentin Silvestrov who is now a refugee in Germany. A late dinner. A day of fun, quiet, conversation, spontaneity, music, sunshine, beauty. To sleep, filled up, grateful.
