#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Late Afternoon River
“Forces beyond your control can take away everything you possess except one thing, your freedom to choose how you will respond to the situation.”
― Victor Frankl
I had the pool mostly to myself this morning for a lovely swim to start the day. Missed the walk with Charlie because I needed to prep for my Wed. writers. A favorite morning of the week, anticipating the deep dive into a prompt that I have thought through and prepared. Getting to hear the creative inspiration that is generated. In the afternoon, working on my newsletter and a meeting with Frank to help him with a project. After our weekly scheduled hour, we go for a walk across the field. I show him how my milkweed is spreading. We go to the river and watch Charlie watching the geese who honk and honk at us. The light is late afternoon and there is so much green on the reflection of the river. We walk around our trail to the brook where Charlie startles the mallards, and if the special one was with us he would have scolded Charlie for disrupting the peace of his pair of ducks near their nest. Frank and I have a light, quiet dinner on the deck in the warm evening. Play Lab, and we debrief on the showcase, the actors and writers, and it’s a rich and satisfying discussion. Ahhhh. How fortunate I am to have my day framed with women writing in so many genres and supporting each other in community!
