#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

Blur Current, Charles River

Such cold mornings! I am early, early awake. Frank first. I work on my poem in my half sleep. Then open my eyes and write. Another lovely swim, first thing. And then outdoors with Charlie in the wind and sun. The current is frisky on the river. We cross the trestle bridge, go into the meadow and relax into the day. A busy one ahead. Grateful for the quiet, slow start. And the rest of the day, poetry. In the afternoon I prepare for my online featured reading tonight from my new book. So grateful to have my publisher and friend, Eileen Cleary joining to interview me. It’s a lovely event––I think it goes well, and I feel quite supported. Whew! Prepared well and felt great about the evening. And, on Sunday, my next event, my official, virtual Lily Poetry Review Book launch. My friend Jenny Grassl will interview me on this one. I am blessed with abundant and excellent support. I learned so much about my book tonight from the chance to answer Eileen’s questions.
