#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

I take the walk alone today as there is tennis for some and phone calls for others. . . I am happy and take pictures. And I get to have a face time call with the special one, which is a highlight of my day. My stories recorded here and sent are greatly appreciated, I learn: he says “again.” That means my story is a success! On my way back, on Playa Palada, next to me in one of the tide pools I spot this bright and cheerful yellow bird in the blue water, find out later it’s a Great Kiskadee. I am home from my long walk in time to start my weekly critique group online. Really great writing and comments are shared. It’s a very stimulating way to spend my morning. Another walk to the beach in the late afternoon with my friend. I walk ten miles today by the end of the day. We swim in the surf and bump into a new friend with her baby and get to have some baby time in the wet sand, pure delight. We watch the sunset; the beach is crowded with everyone here for sunset, the spectacle, the event, the gathering of community. Then to dinner, the gang of us, outdoors at a new favorite restaurant, La Casa, under the whirring fans blowing cool air on a warm night.
