#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Lilia is up with Kuzma when Frank and I get up. Departure day. Ooops. Kuzma takes Charlie’s gabapentin pain pill by mistake. Oh well. He will sleep all the long hours ride home, perhaps. It’s bittersweet, her leaving. Charlie is sad to see them both go. The Thanksgiving break is at the end. I help get Wave out the door with a dipping egg. A wonderful swim, a pleasant but cold walk, and a day of preparing my play lab, and also revising poetry. Tonight, I take the night off from making dinner and go into Arlington for a poetry reading: Boston area poets Mary Buchinger and Hilary Sallick, both published by Lily Poetry Books. It’s freezing out and dark, but warm and rich in the library, and I’m glad I’ve made the trip. No traffic. Home to “yoga” with my best pal. And Lilia reports she and Kuzma are home safe and sound.
