Hunter’s Full Moon Rising Over Farm Pond

An absolutely exquisite fall day, start to finish. Summer! Charlie and I walked in the warm air. I hopped on my bike and rode to Farm Pond for an amazing swim. I jumped in, and it was cold, and stunningly gorgeous. That sky! Golden leaves floating down the trees. Yes, it was cold, but the sun was so warm. I swam through the colors of fall, reflected from the trees on the calm, still, cold, refreshing water. I had a lovely swim, full of gratitude for this day of summer in late October. Had a great talk with a dear friend on the phone as I dried off. The beach was busy with people coming and going, all of us wanting to be in the presence of the pond in the sun. Rode home. Went to see a possible house with my daughter. A relaxing day all around. A chance to talk to another friend. Then, with my daughter, who wasn’t in the mood for a swim until after 5:00 p.m. and we were on our way to play pickle ball, but I went to the pond again, for her to have a swim before the day passed. Lucky I did. The pond at dusk, sun going down. I saw a light climbing from behind the pines across the lake. A huge massive disk of a Hunter’s moon. She swam back through the calm toward me as the wafer moon rose. And the day ended with play. Pickle ball and laughter.
