#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
“If you look deeply into the palm of your hand, you will see your parents and all generations of your ancestors. All of them are alive in this moment. Each is present in your body. You are the continuation of each of these people.”
― Thich Nhat Hanh
Rain. Stillness. Freshness. A walk with Charleston to the river. A swim, almost alone in the club pool. Poetry with friends on Zoom. Workers finishing up; house bustling with activity in every room. The house so lovely I want to be in every room at once. Hairdresser. Errand to buy a rug. Not the right one. The making of pizza. A poetry reading online listening to a friend’s poems. Nightly yoga with the one who enjoys climbing under my downward dog, pinching me, climbing on me and giggling with me. The best kind of yoga.
