#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

First day of fall

Rain rain rain rain all day rain. And the fall equinox. Summer has passed. My day bookended with walks. Wet walks. Pleasant walks. Sky clearing tonight, after dinner. And after my walk, the outdoor shower, and I saw this lovely wild grape leaf heart on the wet grass and thought, ah, autumn is here. Earlier in the day I went to the river on my walk and checked on the three eggs. It certainly looks as if one hatched! The other two still intact. So, they are live eggs after all. A baby snake is loose in the world, finding its way somewhere. Home all day with the special one who was not feeling well. Still, he wanted to be outdoors and it was warm enough be strolled around, well covered, in the rain. Summer lasted a very long time. I loved every minute of it and must let it go.
