#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

More like fall now here. A cool week, and some rain tonight. Charlie and I walked early. Dreams, troublesome ones; someone from the past, long gone, visiting, stirring me up. Did not feel restful. I cut the walk short. My Ukrainian Support Group. A new member. My spontaneous prompt worked well. Frank and I off for the afternoon together. Cloudy and cool. We went to Chappaquidick to watch the ocean and the sky and the green marsh grass bend gently in the wind. Then we got stuck in the beach sand. First time stuck, and how to get out? Not a soul around, late afternoon and the surf beside us, the Atlantic waves. We tried to dig out; no luck. Finally, a family pulled up in a Ford. All smiling, and their dog, getting cheerfully out of the car. We can help! We’ve got everything you need. They were so glad to find us stuck, I think, so they could help us out. A sweet, sweet family. They pulled us out. We left the island at sunset looking forward to our next trip back. It’s due to rain all night, and all tomorrow. I revised my new poem. Now, will put it away for awhile. Whether it’s raining or not, Charlie and I will walk in the morning. I have only a few walks left in this special habitat.
