#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

The Morning Brook

It will be a swim morning, so I take Charlie and Suzi out for a shorter walk. The brook is clear of ice; the ice in the wetlands is soft and easily cracks. The mallards start and lift off with quacks over the trees. I have a swim with plenty of energy, 3/4 of a mile. A busy busy day at my desk. So much vitality in my week with events and groups I’m running. Lots of prep, but all creative, stimulating and fun. I have my Tuesday night writers tonight and Charles River Writers tomorrow morning, and all that prep is done. In the late afternoon I take a brief and necessary nap before meeting with my daughter to plan our Playback Theatre and writing webinar for tomorrow night. We meet on Zoom. We’re both a little tired. But we quickly plan how we’ll present, what we will present and who will do what. We trust each other so much, as presenters, and know how we like to work and what we’re both best at offering. During the day, I’m with a client, but I see my son stop by my daughter’s office, through the window that connects us, to wish his sister a happy birthday because he was not around yesterday. There is too much terrible going on in Ukraine.
