#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
The moon was setting as I was walking into the pool this early morning. Awake since 4:00 a.m., I decided to swim around 6:00 a.m. before the bustle of the day started in the house. I was so glad I did. I got so much energy from this swim. I felt terrific. My spirit revived. Later in the morning, I did get Charlie out for his walk. It was pretty warm in the woods. The river is high for December. I walked and met with my client, crunching through leaves, listening intently. Then, home to a poetry session with two friends and it was so worthwhile. Like the swim. Totally gave me energy. Lots of other meetings today; a busy day, a hopeful day, and Frank home in the early afternoon. There was an astonishing moment in the house this morning before my walk when I suddenly realized that Charlie and I were the only ones home! And no construction people! A moment of silence. In the late afternoon, Frank and I drove on an errand and had a chance to connect and talk. He cooked his shrimp and pasta for all. Dinner by the fire and my son in for a visit. I have done zero decorating for Christmas and all will be well.
