Along the river, tree bark

Clouds and warmth. Cheerful walk to school with the special one. Then, off to the river with Charleston. November has set in; the grey sky and the leaves mostly in the river and not on the trees. All the brightness has leaked away. But it was pleasant. Very little done today because I thought I was rid of the bug and it lingers. A two and a half hour nap was required. Frank had the afternoon off and so we went home for the afternoon to see the progress on the house and have dinner with my daughters—take out eaten in our bedroom upstairs, the only room we can access. Moon very bright in a dark sky as we left to go back to our temporary abode. Around the table, eating our food, we shared about our week; all of us felt grateful for the property and knowing things will be back some normalcy soon so we can all live there with a renewed sense of what a special place for all of us it is.
