#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

A lovely day. The brook was cold and sun spangled. There is thin ice and a lot to see in the wetlands that captures my interest. I walked with Charlie and then got ready for lunch with my friend who moved to San Francisco. She’s “home” near her parents for the holiday in the Plymouth area. So a few of us got together in a charming house converted from a barn, out in the country. The time flew by. She walked us around the property, and we picked orange and limes from the trees in their zesty fruitfulness. I didn’t want to leave the cozy fireplace and my friends. But, home in the late afternoon, I made dinner again, now that I am very much enjoying cooking the my new kitchen, and feeling appreciated for my efforts is nice too. The washing machine broke today. I have wanted an excuse to replace it for years. So, that’s a win. After dinner, in the poetry revision workshop, my poems are appreciated, and I’m a bit surprised by that, but pleased. This revision workshop is working really well for me. I feel the holiday-ness of the week, the warmth and pleasure and relaxed family time ahead.
