#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

Snowy Egret, Play Sayulita, Mexico

I crossed paths, happily, with a snowy egret this morning on my solo walk after breakfast with Frank. Ah! Another fine satisfying night’s rest! And the dark room, I wake alone. Frank has left early for our breakfast place. I dress quickly and find my way the three blocks in the predawn light of the narrow streets to the square where he is having coffee. Another sweet breakfast in the humidity as the light of day comes up. Then, my walk in the bluewhite morning by the sea which is quite flat today. No wedding revelers cross my path. Our trip is brief and refreshing. It’s hot, it’s cloudy, it’s humid, and I have two relaxing swims in the hot water. Very little bright sun today. Music from the beach front restaurants, music at the pool, a pool party for the wedding guests in the afternoon, a small hike, alone with my brother to a cove and back, and a nap. Delicious rest. At dinner, alone with Frank, overlooking the pacific, I tell Frank how grateful I am for his anniversary yesterday: Oct. 14, his 41st anniversary in a fellowship founded by Bill & Dr. Bob. Forty one years of his program, and I am grateful for his passion and commitment for taking such good care of himself, and for his compassion and commitment to helping others.
