#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

The launching of two new groups today, morning and night. I watered, rather than walking with Charlie, because I had quite a bit of set up, hosting my first Charles River Writing Collective (formerly Farm Pond Writers) in person, and we met outside in the brilliant sunshine with a lovely breeze blowing across the meadow from the river. This was a gathering to say hello and catch up and green two new members, and we start writing next week. I felt so happy and energetic and not at all stressed putting this together; it was well worth it, as everyone shared how happy they were to be there, and how lovely it was to meet here. I walked to the river after with two of my friends who attended and took this picture of the clouds reflected on the river and this one tree flashing autumn and change. I managed, in the afternoon, to make chicken parmesan for the family before heading into my office to produce the inaugural Open Mic for the Journal of Expressive Writing––which was amazing. Very well attended, and over thirty people read in the open mic! I was so busy I didn’t have a chance to think as much as I wanted about my Aunt Jody or call anyone. But memories from a lifetime are surfacing, reflections and appreciations. Tomorrow I need to write a poem for Friday, as I am now going to Friday poetry workshop instead of Thursday. Thank goodness I have a day to write. What—?
