#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

Rain in the forecast of this day, and so I only water a little. It’s so muggy, Suzi gets overheated and cannot complete the walk we take in the woods with my dear friend and her dog, and so we have to turn around. Will it really rain, I wonder? I am able to work in a swim in this busy day, around the island, under the clouds. Yes, in the afternoon, the rain and thunder come. A pouring rain that soaks the earth. I watch it from the window at my desk and wish I had time to walk in it. Thunder troubles the dogs. I have a peer poetry workshop in the afternoon and it’s all very encouraging. Then, a rushed dinner with my daughter and Frank, who arrived home, and I lead my photo-inspired writing webinar for a lovely, intimate group, and the sharing and writing are transformational. I’m so glad for this tonight; my spirit is renewed. I just always want to keep saying yes to the creative acts that bring me joy because they are meaningful to me and others. Yes. The rain came.
