#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Frank woke me up at 4:30 a.m. as he was wide awake, watching tv, and this turned out to be the most amazing experience for me. It was dark, and I had my coffee and wrote my Aim for Astonishing Weekly e-mail and sent it, and saw the edge of sky over the field reddening. Well, I could see an amazing sunrise starting. And I looked on the deck and it was wet. Must be raining, lightly, I thought, and I ran across the stubbled field, Frank mowed it flat this weekend, as he does every spring, and at the river’s edge I watched the red sky and the red river and was so glad to be awake and alive and immersed in such gorgeous color. And then, I turned. I turned and faced the field in front of the house. And there was the high arched rainbow! What spectacle! And Suzi, old Suzi, standing right under it! Quite an early morning of gifts I received from that early wake-up. I stayed out, walking a bit, but mostly finishing my yard work, raking and moving piles of leaves to the compost. I had such a busy day, I got so much done, and all the day my mood, my energy, my creativity infused with red dawn and a rainbow over this luck filled home.
