#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

On the edge of a woodland path today, there are facts to observe: violets.

Tiny blooms hang above old leaves. Purple petals drop to earth.

Fresh stumps as evidence, gigantic trees removed, a culling by Trustees who tend these trails.

Sometimes it’s the shadow of a thing that stops your breath and not the thing itself.

Practice faith: believe in ferns.
