#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Fresh running brook in the woods. It’s hidden in the trees and brush, but in the otherwise silence it can be heard rushing, rushing to reach your ears and refresh your spirit. I had a long and early walk. And then to work. Finish prepping, with energy, my new Aim for Astonishing 6 month webinar starting tomorrow. And then creating a poem from the letters. And I didn’t struggle with it, and almost immediately liked it, and so I particularly looked forward to attending our poetry workshop tonight. And my daughter, yesterday, harvested all of our garden herbs: the lavender and chamomile and sages and rosemary and lemon verbena and spearmint and she bundled them with string and tied them, today, to hang, drying, above the white wicker rocker where there will be a baby to rock under their scent. I also read the writing from my How Pictures Heal workshop online; what powerful writing my prompt engendered. I took a second, shorter walk, with my youngest so we could talk and catch up. And tonight, I was so happy to be in my poetry workshop, especially since I am taking a break from the Thursday workshop this month. The poems were so wonderful, and the conversation about craft to stimulating, AND i got very positive feedback on my own poem. I said to my daughter, and she agreed, there is a feeling of holidays in the house: anticipation of excitement, bustle and joy.
