It’s warming up and I walked early in the sunshine this morning. Awake at 5:15, happily, so I could get the boarding passes online for my daughter’s early, early flight tomorrow. A lot of shell pickers came out early in the nice weather. I saw some gorgeous shells washed up from the night. My favorite was the spiny jewel box – lucky for me to find the bivalve still intact. Then, I saw a figure looking up at me, half buried, half revealed in the sand: she seems like a priestess, wearing a white headdress and a silky blue robe. I worked on my post card poem project for my Monday poetry group, because I’m so excited to take the weekend off to look for shells and play with my daughter on the beach.
