#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

Doll’s Arm, Longboat Key Beach

Sunrise, Longboat Key

Frank woke very very early and woke me early and so I worked on this new project of short prose poems; one mentions broken dolls. When it started to get light I walked southeast down the beach toward the sun rising behind the trees into a cool wind. The splash of the gulf water on my feet was warm. A day of projected rain. On my return, in the sand on the path off the beach, I looked down and saw a stiff arm, plastic beige flesh, a shoulder lost from its socket, a hand in the shape of a wave – hello or goodbye?

Later, it did pour and the wind blew rain sideways. In the city we splashed through puddles on our way to have pizza after Frank’s visit to the chiropractor.

My youngest sent me a paper to proof and also called and so did the oldest and I called the middle one and so I’m happy, connected, long distance.

I prepared for my Wednesday morning writers, our webinar and also, I reviewed my new logo design which I love. Taking this leap.
