#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
A morning walk, an evening walk, and leading my Wednesday morning writer's group in between. In our writer's room, our host has guests who are preparing for a concert and recording session – two world class musicians rehearsing on the piano, and one on violin. So, we must let them have our space for the day and we move to another room to write. And for our trouble are treated to a private concert before we begin writing!

After our stunning experience of hearing this live music performed as a gift for us, we leave them to the studio and go into another room. There, I urge everyone to be quiet, and we take our usual five minutes of silence, to be in our bodies, letting us tune into the depths of what this musical experience has stirred in us. Then, there is writing, free write from silence, and the poetry that emerges is some of the best raw material ever created from a prompt.
Exquisite morning, a day of profound beauty. My daughter, after dinner, invites me out into the evening fresh pink streaked sky. We go to the river, cross to the meadow, the breeze blows our hair; we do not stop talking for an hour. O river, O sky, O blue heaven of clouds, I give thanks for this day of listening, of prompting, of honoring the creative spirit, and making moments that enrich people's spirits in necessary ways
