#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

Gall, Like a Globe

First I take off my hat and then my gloves. I have not bothered to wear the extra jacket. Warming up is pure pleasure on my ski through the woods. There is sunshine and melting and the trail is fine. Ungloved, it's so much easier to stop and notice something interesting on the canvas of snow. The oak gall I spy while climbing up a mild slope of the trail; it looks like a photo of the earth being viewed from a rocket on the way to the moon.
