This morning I am sending thoughts and prayers to the people of Texas as I walk in the dry, quiet August woods of New England. When I get home, I wonder what kind of prayer I can post here. What is the Texas state flower? It's a bluebonnet, a species of lupine often planted on Texas highways.
May the bluebonnet bloom again soon
to cheer the people of Texas .
