This morning I received a comment on Facebook from a lovely writer who follows my blog - in response to my post yesterday celebrating my one year anniversary of blogging my daily walks. 

"Dear Kelly, I cannot express how much I have been enjoying your blog all year long. . ."

Every day I take my walk, take my pictures, write my blog - and I do this for me, because it feeds my soul and my writing life. For this reason, I do it even if I don't have a single reader. Discovering that this blog I create to feed my own life is feeding another person's life is a special gift - you must read this quote about writing being like sending out a message in a bottle - I shared this favorite from Edward Hirsch with her, in gratitude for being one of the friends my words (and pictures) are seeking:
