Today is a lucky day to find a brown and white feather under a tree at the side of the trail. I plan to look it up when I get home, but before I can, a friend of Facebook helps: it's a barred owl feather, she thinks, and I think she's right. Below is a recording I found of the sound a barred owl makes: "“Who cooks for you? Who cooks for you-all?”
