#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Instead of an early morning walk, I have an early morning flight. Homecoming in the woods is at bright mid-day. Almost to the brook, I see my first fiddlehead popping up from a pile of brown leaves. She's a beauty. Spring spring spring and the fiddleheads filling the woods.
Which reminds me of a poem I wrote from pictures of fiddleheads a year ago - it's in need of revision. I had submitted it to a few journals and received one thoughtful rejection. One of the editors had argued strongly for it, she said. Which is a good sign, I think, even though they said no. Except I haven't seen how to fix it, or I haven't been inspired to try.
Until today.
