#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Before I walked I began writing, revising, a poem to take to a master class today with Natalie Shapero and grew so stiff and cold in the process of sitting too long, I considered not going at all. Of course, my resistance lasted for five minutes while I was putting on my warm clothes, my sneakers, and heading out the door in the late morning, a warmer one than I expected, and almost immediately I found the color purple, such a warm color, a cheerful fungus growing in my path. Then, in the swamp, the cattail, the berries, a nest, and all my gratitude for a morning well spent, and a workshop to look forward to, and a poem to keep working on.
