#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Awake early to a freezing rain over the partly frozen Charles and a slippery walk into the woods as soon as it's light. It's easy to walk the frozen wetlands to reach the gorgeously glazed berries, the brightest sight in the dismal weather. I meet a single fellow traveler who greets me from the trail as I emerge from the swamp.
Later, driving into Harvard Square, we cross the rainy Charles at its wider point. I snap this photo from inside the car – a dreamy wintery city scene from the Anderson Bridge.
