#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
In bright sunshine, a glorious Saturday, I linger and wander. There is no reason or desire to hurry back indoors, there is too much to see in the meadow, too many lovely surprises:
an old wooden fence crosses an ancient stone wall; juniper, a favorite winter green, growing berries to blue by December; a feather, a pheasant? a grouse? a hawk? has fallen from the sky; milkweed like lamps under moody gray sky; spears of sumac striking the warm air; it's all going, going, going to winter; in the meadow I don't want to miss any spectacle this new day.
